How to make my post-event successful?

Is your event over? Not quite! It continues! Indeed, the very nature of an event, as well as its strength, is that it is ephemeral. And so it can last if it is memorable! In this respect, the post-event must be planned from the outset in order to put in place a set of measures that will allow guests to retain a memory of this moment.

Capturing content:

From the very beginning of its conception, remember to capture images of your event, whether photos, videos or drone shots – all means are good for capturing the highlights, the funny and heartwarming moments of your event!
Discuss the processing and formatting time for the images with your service providers in advance. This will allow you to post them online immediately, ideally the day after the event.

Once again, all platforms serve as potential echo chambers, whether on the intranet, YouTube, Facebook or Instagram. First, prioritize participants and guests by dedicating a special platform where they alone can find photos and videos of their shared experience.

Goodies or no goodies?

Sometimes criticised, sometimes considered outdated or old-fashioned, goodies (promotional items), if chosen wisely, can also be memorable. Choose an item that fits with the spirit and theme of your event. Avoid stress balls (do you really think your guests need them that much?), low-quality T-shirts with corporate messages (which come across as both cheap and pretentious), and objects that serve no apparent purpose. Instead, focus on quality and meaning. And think green!

Send a satisfaction survey:

Send it immediately after the event. Make it appealing with photos and/or videos that remind people of the event, and take the opportunity to reinforce your main message. This way, you engage your participants differently.

If you want a high response rate (for a corporate event with employees, the response rate is generally 30%), you must make it as easy as possible for them: limit the number of questions, favour rating-based choices, limit open-ended questions, and ensure smartphone optimisation.

Say thank you!

Thank your teams, participants, speakers and service providers… It’s simple and always appreciated.

And get some rest… you’ve earned it!
